I was working on a website last month but it really didn’t work.
I used DALL-E for images, but it is more for (cartoonesque) illustrations.
I had prompted a number of times with tweaks, to get a ‘bruine vloot matroos’ (traditional charter deckhand) doing first aid.
This was about the most ‘photorealistic’ it would get :
Companies cannot use this.
I heard Banano Pro was a lot more realistic, so I got a Gemini account, and I made a generator this morning, for the newest model, the Gemini 3-flash-preview model, it’s been out since december 17th on the API) and this is what it produces with roughly the same prompt without the first aid :
‘bruine vloot matroos op platbodem klipper in de zon met een lekker windje’ :

This was the first output. I did that work for five years and I can vouch that this is about as realistic as it gets,. I would never have noticed that this is AI generated. It is ‘pixel perfect’ up to the rust stains in the corner of the sail, the trail in the water, it is amazing, I have been looking at it for an hour and I cannot see anything that doesn’t fit.
DALL-E Is an older model, and Gemini Flash 3 is the newest model. DALL-E is good for illustrations, but for ‘photorealistic’ I’d take Gemini Flash 3.
